Sony Ericsson's first Android phone


Sony Ericsson has introduced the X10 features phone Tuesday in the first run on Google Inc.'s Android operating system in hopes of device to stop the loss of market share.


Android has given a boost this year as handset makers like Motorola Inc. are looking for ways to suggest to Apple Inc.'s iPhone.

Android's momentum continued to grow with four of the five largest suppliers in the world today announced an android, and Pathfinder products,"said Shaun Collins, CEO of research firm CCS Insight UK market.

The main suppliers just Nokia Oyj has no plan Android. Profitable Sony Ericsson, the world's fourth largest producer of mobile phones, since 2008 has suffered from a lack of attractive high-end models on offer and saw total revenue for the third quarter, decreased by 45 percent last year.
"The X10 is a smart phone, high-quality Sony Ericsson aid on the way back to profitability, " said analyst Neil Mawston at Strategy Analytics.

But the new phone is not on sale until next year. Analysts expect the company to announce a further heavy loss in 2010, but see the gross margin and market share up.

The X10 is a 4-inch widescreen touch screen and Qualcomm Inc.'s use Snapdragon processor and comes with a 8.1-megapixel camera. It 'available in selected markets to move in early 2010.

Sony Ericsson's current flagship, satio with a 12 megapixel camera, recently started selling, and the announcement could hurt sales in the important before the end of vacation per year.

"I believe that some consumers are waiting until the first quarter to get their hands on X10, instead of envisioning a satio Christmas, " says Carolina Milanesi, an analyst at Gartner.

Some analysts are positive on the new model.

"Sony Ericsson is re-emerging after a difficult 18 months, with a new user experience attractive and well-received product ... has clarified its strategy and understand that users do not want more megapixels in megabytes, but Facebook and Twitter, " said CCS Insight's Collins.
